About the event
Join OYLA for an exciting, teacher- and parent-chaperoned college tour experience to Southern California! Students will depart Phoenix early the morning of February 12 and travel in comfort via luxury coach, with lodging at LaQuinta Inn & Suites Pomona. The excursion includes college campus tours, a special YouTube Tour and workshops, and an immersive look at college life. Students will also enjoy enriching museum visits on February 12th and 13th, offering cultural, historical, and educational experiences that enhance the overall learning journey.
On February 14th, participants will attend the Black College Expo at the Pomona Fairplex, where they will connect with representatives from HBCUs and other colleges, gain valuable information about admissions, scholarships, and academic opportunities, and explore future career pathways.
